Diplomatic Relations (1)  Chile strongly supports Korea in its policy for Peace and Prosperity of the Korean Peninsula.  In the international arena such as the UN, Chile has supported South Korea against North Korea’s nuclear ambition.  Korea also has been very cooperative with Chile in many areas.  Donation of 5 million USD for the victims of the earthquake

Commercial Relation (1)  FTA between Chile and Korea  The trade volume increased 4 times during six years; US$7,160 ML(’08) / US$5,330 ML(’09)  Chile exports copper(66%), other mineral products(10.5%), pork meat(4%), grape, wine - US$4,130 ML(’08) / US$3,100 ML(’09)  Chile imports fuel(28%), automobiles(26%), white goods, mobile telephones - US$3,030 ML(’08) / US$2,230 ML(’09)  Korea is the 5 th Trade partner of Chile

Commercial Relation (2)  Chilean goods’ share in the Korean market  Second place in the Market of wines in Korea after France (22.3%).  First place in the market of pork meat in Korea (29.4%)  Korean goods’ share in the Chilean market  First place in the market of automobiles (37%), white goods (60%), mobile phones (60%) in Chile.  Upgrade of FTA
