GENERAL INFORMATIONS ABOUT PREŠOV -is a city located in northeastern part of Slovakia -it is capital city of Prešov´s region -it has population almost 100 thousand´s -it is the third-largest city in the country

HISTORY OF PREŠOV -4-5 century – arrived Slovans on territory of Prešov – first recorded mention of Prešov – Prešov granted municipal rights from Hungarian king Ondrej III – is established first colledge in Prešov

CULTURE OF PREŠOV -there are few famous theaters like 1. theater Alexander Duchnovič 2. theater Jonas Zaborsky -there are also 2 museums in Prešov 1. Country Museum 2. Wine museum -there are placed seveeral nice fountains, for example Fountain of Neptun, which is our the most oldest and the nicest fountain in Prešov

SAINT NICHOLAS CONCATHEDRAL -it is one of the biggest churches in Slovakia -it is the main roman catholic church of the city of Prešov -it was built in the middle of the 14th century -the concathedral was built in Gothic style

BOSÁK BANK -it is also called Bosak´s house -it was built on main crossroads -it was named after known merchant Michal Bosák -it had become cultural monument
