DEFINITION Obstetric forceps is a pair of instrument specially designed to assist extraction of the fetal head and there by accomplishing the delivery of the fetus.

Measurements of long curved obstetrics forceps 1. Length : 37 cms. 2. Distance : 2.5 cms (in between the tips). 3. Diameter (widest) : 9 cms.
