Inventor of Lego Ole Kirk Christiansen

Ole Kirk Christiansen Ole was Danish and started as a carpenter, and he made small wooden toys for his children. In 1947 he started using plastics to construct his toys. He came up with the name LEGO from the Danish” leg godt” which means play well. The word Lego also means “I put together” in Latin.

LEGO is line of construction toys manufactured in Billund Denmark.
