The Carnival Culture of Colombia

Barranquilla's Carnival (Carnaval de Barranquilla) is celebrated 4 days before Ash Wednesday, and is broadly recognized as one of the world's largest Carnivals. Some residents even claim that it is second only to the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. If you have never experienced Carnival in Barranquilla then you definitely need to add it to your list of events to experience and places to visit at least once in your life.
