Backgammon reached France in the eleventh century. Backgammon reached Iceland in the thirteenth century. Backgammon reached Germany in the twelfth century. Backgammon reached Sweden in the seventeenth century. Backgammon reached England in the sixteenth century. Backgammon reached the USA in the 1920s. Backgammon reached India in the late sixth century to the early seventh century. Backgammon reached Persia around 300 AD, where it was called Nard.
