How to design your oral presentation Project Success 2015

Aim of Study: What my study aims to do is… 2

Background What do people need to know before they can understand your project. If there are any advanced terminologies in your title or your presentation, explain it in layman’s terms. 3

Clinical Relevance Do this project have any clinical relevance? How does this contribute to, or differentiate from existing data on the subject. 4

Methods How did you conduct your research? Explain the steps you took to start your project and any changes you might’ve made in your methods over the course of the summer. Be concise, but make sure you’re thoroughly explaining yourself. 5

Results This section is where you may include graphs and figures or any data obtained from your research. This series of slides are to be visual. You can include screenshots of your data and analyses 6

Summary Write 3-4 points that summarize your research Can include your own thoughts, limitations 7

Conclusion Conclude your findings. If you do not have a conclusion that is ok. You can just have the summary slide. How has your project contributed to previous knowledge on the subject and how can you improve upon it in the future. 8
