Origami

What’s the name of Culture Japanese culture, Japanese culture is influenced from Asia, Europe and North America. The Japanese culture was isolated from the world for a long time until the western vessels come to Japan.

Art Origami (It was called origami, from the Japanese words oru (meaning to fold) and kami (meaning paper). Is an art where you fold paper and make it a beautiful shape.

How does the environment of the culture influence their artistic creation? Origami used to be made with a type of paper called kami which usually weight less than copying paper but by time people started using copying paper since it’s easier to get and cheaper.

Significance Traditional origami was used in weddings for decorations . 1000 Origami cranes is given as a wedding gift from the father to wish them 1000 years of happiness

How does art impact the identity of the culture The Japanese culture have been famous for their using of origami in their weddings for decoration but now people started to rarely use them since new unique types of decoration have been introduced to the Japanese people.
