Lightning Thief: Chapter 14 Destiny’s Child

Percy Jackson lands in the Mississippi River after jumping from The Gateway Arch, in attempt to retreat from Echidna and her Chimera.

He realizes he can breath under water and that anything he touches is dry when he underwater.

A messenger is sent to Percy while in the water, telling him that it his father request that he goes to Santa Monica before descending into the underworld.

Percy gets out of the water, goes searching through the crowd, and dodges the media at the same time, because he is wanted. He is desperately attempting to find his friends.

Percy finds his friends, and he tells them about what the messenger said. He tells them that they first must get out of town away from the media.
