Lever Levers- see sawLever- crocodile  There are 2 types of levers, the crocodile lever and the seesaw lever. The seesaw lever is for weighting things.  The crocodile lever is a lever that snaps things. Like a wire cutter.

Wheel & Axle  A wheel & axle is the inside wheel not the tyre. Not the tyre!  For example the wheel

 A pulley helps you get things up.  Like a 10 kg box  A pulley is like a crane.  It helps you lift things Pulley

Incline Plane  An incline plane is like a ramp  It is like a slope  For example this one

Screw  A screw helps you keep things stable  A light bulb has a screw at the bottom.  Like this one

Wedge  A wedge is a tool that cuts things, such as a saw and even a drill.  Such as the knife.  Wedges have very sharp blades.

Gears  One gear can make the other one work  The other can make the whole thing work  For example, clocks are gears

What are Simple machines?  Simple machines are very simple  They help you lift heavy things up  Simple machines are very important  They are strong
