Theodore Roosevelt By Beau

Teddy’s Childhood  Born on October 27,  Teddy was a nickname some people called him when he was young.  Teddy found that he needed glasses when he was twelve.  The Roosevelt family traveled to many different places for teddy’s asthma.

Road to Presidency  From teddy went to Harvard college  Then attended Columbia University Law School for one year.  Joined the Republican party.  Got elected for State Assembly  Teddy was trying to make a fair government in the New York legislator in 1898

Presidency  When McKinley was assassinated teddy became president  He accomplished setting aside land out west to become refuges, the first one was called Pelican Island  Teddy won the Nobel peace prize in 1905 for creating peace between Japan and Russia  He supervised the Panama canal to the end of his presidency in till 1909.

Later Life  Teddy spent the rest of his life writing books on nature  Shooting big game  He died in 1919, of old age
