Texas State Legislature has provided almost $8M in capital funding to assist with modernizing the underlying technical infrastructure associated with PEIMS. For a number of years, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has also funded a statewide public facing longitudinal data warehouse (the Texas P-16 Public Education Information Resource) that ultimately will tie Pre-K through College and workforce readiness data for reporting purposes. SLDS Webinar SLDS Alternate Funding and Project Resources Relationship Initiation (Texas) Early relationship between TEA and MSDF centered around the initiation of studies to form the basis of a new roadmap for developing an enhanced statewide longitudinal data capability to improve data-driven decision making. Ultimately, two investigational studies were conducted: 1) Texas Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting Systems Investigation (TDCARSI), 2) District Management Systems Study (DMSS). The Texas Student Data System (TSDS) vision was developed with detailed background research and extensive consultation with stakeholders, facilitated in large part due to the aforementioned studies. 8 SLDS Webinar
