2 Purpose of State Coordinators
Support to Pilot States for executing the BHMC Pilot Program Support military’s goals of improving recruitment, retention, readiness, and resilience. Integrate national, state, and local resources to support geographically dispersed military population within their state Develop and maintain key partner relationships to support strategic initiatives and facilitate and synchronize existing efforts Build visibility, community, and corporate relevance by increasing awareness of resources and programs Leveraging community, state, and federal partnerships Educating and supporting implementation of initiatives throughout the military and communities Supporting and implementing strategic communication efforts

Workshop, Conference, Training, and Event Support Research, Analyze, Develop, and Implementation Support Track and Report (Data Collection/Metrics) Strategic Communication, Marketing, and Collaboration

4 Workshop, Conference, Training, and Event Support Tasks
Coordinate training and logistical support for BHMC/JCF Support Rapid Needs Assessment & provide AAR Research & prepare briefing materials for Interstate Family Assistance Committee (ISFAC)/JCF Meetings Host monthly collaboration meeting with state and local contacts Attend a minimum of 4 meetings a month to inform communities and/or organizations about joining BHMC/JCF network Educate partners or potential partners about the needs of geographically dispersed Service members and families

5 Research, Analyze, Develop, & Implementation Support Tasks
Provide strategic analysis of pilot on a quarterly basis Recommendation includes: Concerns Suggested modifications Processes to be initiated or eliminated Gather and analyze information with affect both Active and Reserve Service member and families and assist with identified issues Develop a State Action Plan Provide support in implementing NGB guidance and policies

6 Track and Report Tasks (Data Collection/ Metrics)
Collect and report metrics Provide information about State Best Practices Conduct surveys Prepare reports, surveys, briefings, and other correspondence Collect information and maintain central database for use in reporting, planning, policy development, identifying opportunities for cooperative efforts and for evaluating performance Central Database for the BHMC Pilot is the Joint Service Support website

7 Strategic Communication, Marketing, & Collaboration Tasks
Coordinate with Project Supervisor, Multi-Media Specialist, and JCF Analyst at NGB, state staffs, and service providers Enhance outreach programs by integrating federal, state, and local resources within the state into self-sustaining networks Facilitate access to agencies providing support Function as a member of appropriate committees, task forces, councils, and/or workgroups Advise commander and state staff on all matter relating to state-level outreach POC for state-level outreach Liaison with stakeholders and target audiences for the exchange of information and through various methods of communication Direct Mail Telephone Social Media

8 Metrics Reporting Joint Service Support - JSS ( website for all metric tracking AARs required for all events attended or coordinated Automated BHMC/JCF Pilot AAR in JSS that will meet this requirement and will be used for automatic metric reporting

11 Travel Each State’s Travel Budget is $7,000 per State Coordinator
Travel must be approved by the State Lead, NGB TA, and Alutiiq prior to traveling Travel must accomplished through the least expensive means possible Local mileage reimbursement is authorized More details on the specifics of travel requests and appropriate forms will be provided by NGB in the next week or two

12 Equipment On the current contract there is audio/visual equipment
Cell Phone Computer NGB have computers to hand out to the State Coordinators whose states have requested them Computers and cell phones can be added onto next BHMC contract, if funding level allows.

13 2017 BHMC Contract Current contract expires on 15 Mar 2017
NGB working on new contract to start on 16 Mar 2017 New contract is currently being written with same or similar duties as current contract If you find requirements (i.e. tasks, equipment) in your state that a State Coordinator requires or can’t do under the PWS of the current contract, please contact the Technical Assistant (TA) The sooner we receive your suggestions to the new contract tasks the better chance they have of being included
