(v.19) When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? (20) To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.

Isaiah 8 (v.21) Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished, they will become enraged and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God. (v. 22) Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be thrust into utter darkness. And see: Romans 1: 21-32

(9:1) Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles…

(9:2) The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned (9:3) You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you…as men rejoice when dividing the plunder (9:4) For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them…the rod of their oppressor (9:5) Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. And see Judges 7

(v.6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Philippians 2 (v.6) Who, being in very nature God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, (v.7) but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. (v.8) And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself…

(v.7) Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel* * ‘Immanuel’ means ‘God with us’

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel Matthew 1:18 This is how the birth of Jesus came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph. But before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 4: When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he returned to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali – to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah: “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea along the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles – the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.” From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

Luke 1:76-79 John 1 (v.1) In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God (v.4) In him was life and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not understood it (v.14) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us….full of grace and truth… (v.17)…grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
