1 1 Public Safety and Homeland Security How can broadband support the country’s priorities in Public Safety and Homeland Security? Public Safety Network What are the requirements of the nation for broadband public safety communications? What are the requirements for a public safety broadband nationwide network? How can we best ensure that the nationwide network serves the on- going requirements of pubic safety’? Next-Generation How should the system be upgraded to support users of next generation broadband devices? Cyber Security and Commercial Network Survivability How do we ensure that broadband communications networks are protected? Alerts How can broadband be best utilized to support and enhance alerting?

2 Broadband communications that meet public safety's specialized needs on an interoperable, nationwide basis and can enhance mission critical voice over time. Today, public safety entities can only access commercial broadband services. There are no broadband communication services that meet the public safety community’s specialized needs.
