All of UTC’s spectrum efforts now colored by Homeland Security concerns Cyber security requirements from FERC, other agencies will necessitate new generation of SCADA systems Vital need for interoperable systems among ALL emergency responders (PS/CI/Federal agencies) – UTC promoting shared systems, offering utility buildouts Above points show need for small, dedicated CI spectrum allocation to make nationwide interoperability, advanced technologies (voice/data integration, etc.) possible Confidentiality of wireless system information where possible Copyright © 2003 United Telecom Council.
