Identify Stakeholders Identify people, groups or organizations that could impact or be impacted by a decision, activity or outcome. Project stakeholders include a diverse mix of people and skills. Identify stakeholders early, review and update regularly.

Identify Stakeholders Project Sponsors Business Process Owners Project Manager Agency Management Project Team Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). State and Local Government Entities Customers IT Staff Procurement Staff Training Staff The Press Special Interest Groups The Community State Citizens and Visitors A typical list of stakeholders, include but are not limited to:

Analyze Stakeholders Understanding Stakeholder Perspectives Identify Stakeholder Interests/Needs Perceived Project Impact on Identified Stakeholder (positive or negative) Perceived Project Stakeholder Impact on the Project (positive or negative)

Prioritize Stakeholders Classify stakeholders based on the potential degree of support, influence, and power they have on the project. Assign priority level to a stakeholder (high, medium, low) based on interest in the project and decision making power. Review and update throughout the project life cycle.
