The National Network of Rural Community Schools 2010 Jan Fiala Member of the Board responsible for Strategies, International cooperation and System Integration

Our Mission We, the National Network of Rural Community Schools (NNRCS), are an independent non-profit association operating in the whole of the Czech Republic. Our objective is to foster of the development of village communities respecting various needs and opportunities. We provide advice and support to communities to aid development especially in the field of cooperation and education. We bring our own experience to this task as well as sharing foreign know-how. We offer partnership for all individuals and organizations involved in rural development and lifelong learning.

Our history setting up reaching legal body registration - first international seminar in Bory first rural co-ordinators, NNRCS is a partner in the project „European Rural Voice“ (ERA), launch of LMS server( learning management system for e-learning on-line courses) first ESF project - adopted „team made“ NNRCS long term strategy leading or participating on 3 international projects

Five International seminars on RCS in BORY 2006 „Rural Community education in general“ (Finland, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, Wales) 2007 „Mobilization and motivation „ (Finland, Sweden) 2008 „Rural identity „ (England,Estonia,Poland, Slovakia, Wales) 2009 „Relationships between RCS and the community „ (Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Wales) 2010 „Sustainability“ (Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Wales)

The rural co-ordinator A person who animates village development, makes projects, facilitates relationships and community education( LLL), manages rural community school getting people together 200 hrs course aproved by Ministry of education as an official vocational course Incl 30hrs separate e-learning „ How to set up and sustain Rural Community school“

Rural community school A school or NGO in rural village for LLL suported by and cooperating with the local rural community The school open during the whole day for everybody aged from 4 to 100 …

A Community village A village involving citizen and community in the process of building intersectoral partnership, long term strategy planning, providing community school, supporting LLL, ….
