Minnesota Statute  M.S , subd. 8: Workplace Programs Requires A written work place accident and injury reduction program  to promote safe & healthful working conditions  with stated goals and objective to meet goals Reviewed annually

Goals  Cass County HHVS’s Goals: Safe and healthy work environment Procedures in place to ensure safety Zero lost time injuries

Achieving Goals – Employer  To meet goals requires employer on- going participation: Communicate safety goals, objective and procedures thru means of:  Posters  Employee handbooks  Orientation & Training  notifications In effective reporting & investigation to become proactive in accident prevention

Achieving Goals – Employer continued In identifying, analyzing and controlling hazards by means of:  Analysis of injury/illness records  Analysis of trends  Inspections to identify high risk job activities Procedures Controls Exposure to hazardous substances, harmful and/or infectious agents
