Astrid Leeb, MAS, MSc EDUCATION HIGHWAY Innovationcenter for School and New Technology Austria‘s biggest educational repositories /

Some facts & numbers started in 1. Educational webservice in Austria Over items in the database 1996 – Start of repository 39 Subportals for different school subjects

Factors for success Repository is filled since 1996 Flexible self-made standards Different approaches to content (Subject, Themes, Classes, Search) From Teacher for Teachers Many items, scripts, tables have to be changed.. Exchange with other repositories hardly possible Good concept, but complex to administrate and to communitcate to the users Very, very good concept, but „keep the racing horses under control“ / Problems/ Challenges

Principles for the repository eduhi 2.0 International Standards From Quantity to Quality Exchange within Repositories Connectivity between Repository and LMS

Eduhi 2.0 Central Educational Repository (Metadata from E-Contents, educational Media, E-Learning Courses, Links, … Selected Data from „old“ Portal New Subject Portals National and international educational Repositories LMS One Content Management System

Idea for an ICT System for education Separation of Content and Output Medium Centralized Content Management Centralized User Management

Our Vision „Use your favorite application and your favorite content, alone and together, anytime, anywhere.“ EDUCATION HIGHWAY Innovationszentrum für Schule und Neue Technologie GmbH Hafenstr , 4020 Linz,
