Parmele from: Childtimes: A Three-Generation Memoir Powerpoint by Carol Harms, JSD 171, Orofino, ID

Parmele is a town in North Carolina. The author tells of trips to Parmele during her childhood. The author shares her experiences: leaving the city to make the long automobile trip along country roads, her grandfather’s scary stories, and the reluctant parting when the visit is over.

Genre: Autobiography An autobiography may have one or more of these elements. It is written by a person about her or his own life. It contains important information about a person’s life. It often includes details about how the person talks, feels, and thinks about things. It may span the person’s whole life or may tell about only an important part of the person’s life. It often focuses on the most important events of a person’s life, including their achievements and talents. Events are often told in chronological order.
