Romania is situated in the south-eastern part of Europe, next to the Black Sea.It’s surface measures square km and has a population of about 22 million people. It is situated north of Bulgaria, east of Moldova, west of Serbia and south of Hungary and Ukraine.

The Kingdom of Romania emerged when the principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia were united under Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Romania was a comunist country from 1947 to 1989.Since then Romania has been a democratic state and is now member of the European Union and N.A.T.O.

Romania is devided in 41 counties and its capital is the city of Bucharest. Bucharest has a surface of 228 square km and over 2 million people live in it.
