Approach Leverage as fully as possible the LANCE AMSR-E hardware and software architecture o Ingest from JAXA, rather than NASA GSFC EDOS Preliminary AMSR2 science algorithms provided by the US AMSR2 Science Team Processing automation software will be very similar, but require changes to accommodate new file names, etc. Documentation, including metadata and quality assessment, will require updates to accommodate differences in instrumentation Implement new requirements per 423-RQMT-002 o Integrate with the ESDIS URS4, including HTTPS access o Register data granules within EOS Clearing House and Common Metadata Repository 9/23/145AMSR Science Team Meeting

AMSR2 NRT Products 9/23/146AMSR Science Team Meeting Integrated the GPROF2010 (GSFC Profiling) retrieval code for a near real time AMSR2 precipitation and non-raining parameters product into the SIPS production environment. The algorithm has been compiled with GFortran on a 64-bit LINUX system and produces the same results as the CSU-provided binary sample files Next efforts are to define requirements and implement metadata and GIBS browse. GSFC Profiling Algorithm (GPROF2010) for precipitation and ocean parameters GSFC Profiling Algorithm (GPROF2010) for precipitation and ocean parameters JAXA Level-1R (HDF5) Level-2 Rain-Ocean Product (HDF-EOS5)

AMSR2 NRT Products (2) Integrated the preliminary AMSR2 snow water equivalent (SWE) algorithm into the SIPS production processing system. The algorithm has been compiled with GFortran on a 64-bit LINUX system and produces the same results as the CCNY-provided binary sample files Next efforts are to define requirements and implement metadata and GIBS browse. 9/23/147AMSR Science Team Meeting Preliminary AMSR2 SWE Algorithm (AMSR-E SWE) Preliminary AMSR2 SWE Algorithm (AMSR-E SWE) JAXA Level-1R (HDF5) Level-3 Snow Product (HDF-EOS5)
