Presentation transcript:

Exercise.. be physically fit… Stay healthy, cheerful, be positive…& glow!!

Things to do… 1. Before you exercise, you need to know your Resting Heart Rate. Please count your heart rate/pulse per minute. Place finger tips at your wrist or neck. Eg. 68 Your answer: 2. Find your Maximal Heart Rate: Use this formula your age = Eg (age) = 198 beats per minute Your answer:

Things to do… 3. Calculate your Working Heart Rate. Use this formula: Maximal Heart Rate – Resting Heart Rate = Working Heart Rate Eg. 198 – 68 = 130 Your answer: 4. Calculate Threshold of Training Heart. Use this formula: Working Heart Rate x.60 + Resting Heart Rate Eg. 130 x.60 = = 146

Things to do… This means that the Threshold of Training Heart Rate for a 22 year person is 146 per minute. The Threshold of Training or minimum Heart Rate for building cardiovascular fitness is determined by calculating 60 percent of the working heart rate range and then adding it to the resting heart rate.

Things to do… Once you determined your threshold & target heart rates, you should exercise vigorously enough to bring your heart rate above threshold. GOOD LUCK. Please give your sincere comment about the article.

That’s all. THANK YOU!!
