Myth  Goddess of Spring,  Was late in bringing the end of winter.  When she did return, she saw a small bird on the ground,  With her wings frozen, she was now unable to fly. Feeling guilty, Eostre changed the bird into a hare, giving it the gift of speed to quickly escape its enemies.  Eostre also gave the hare the power to lay eggs in colors of the rainbow but only once a year.
