Technology Initiatives in Corrections Presented by Julius Dupree Policy Office

Overview BJA provides grants to support State, Local, and tribal jurisdictions in the area of corrections Grant initiatives include sex offender management, prisoner reentry, and Protecting Inmates and Safeguarding Communities Grantees may request funds to support technology- based efforts

Examples of Technology Initiatives Data collection system to analyze prison rape allegations Installation of video cameras in high risk areas of correctional facilities Computerized assessment system to identify potential sexual predators and victims
