Prepositions A Preposition is a word that relates a noun or a pronoun to anther word in the sentence. The boy near the window is French. aboard about above across after against along among around as at before behind below beneath beside besides between beyond but (except) by down during except for from in inside into like near of off on onto opposite out outside over past since through throughout to toward under underneath until up upon with within without Common PREPOSITIONS

Conjunctions A coordinating conjunction is a word used to connect compound parts of a sentence. And, but, or, nor, and for are coordinating conjunctions.
