The Land  Jordan is a Southwest Asian country  Jordan consists of arid forest plateau in the east irrigated by oasis and seasonal water streams

Land Cont.  The highest point in the country is Jabal Ram  The Great Rift Valley of the Jordan River separates Jordan, the west bank and Israel.  Jordan’s Natural Resources are Phosphates, Potash, and Shale Oil

Climate/Vegetation  The climate is very rainy from November to march and semi dry weather for the rest of the year.  Some of the animals are Caracal Persian Lynx), Red Fox, Hare, Golden Jackal, and Arabian Oryx.

Governments  Their government is a constitutional monarchy  The king is Abdullah  The Prime minister is Nader al-Dahabi  The population is 6.1 million  Life expectancy is 71 years for men and for women is 74

History and Current Events  The Kingdom of Petra, was founded by the Nabataeans  Muslim is facing time in Jordan. He moved and could be sent back to Jordan and tortured. They think he was 'Osama Bin Laden's right hand man in Europe.

Economy  Exports of light manufactured products, garments  Education and literacy rates and measures of social well-being are very high compared to other countries with similar incomes.  Jordan's currency is Jordanian dinar (JOD)

Culture  Clothing is modern  Arabian food  Language is Arabic  Religion is Islam and Christianity
