Marco Polo set sail on his expedition in Marco Polo went to Asia. He went because he was a writer.He wrote about all his travels. Marco Polo brought Asian goods like silks and spices back to Europe. Marco Polo went on his expedition on 1295.

Marco Polo's voyage was very successful. He wrote a book about Asia. He brought plenty of silk and spices back from Asia to Europe. His book became popular, and explorers started to be more interested in Asia. Marco Polo had a very successful trip.

Other Interesting Information The travels of Marco Polo where also called "The Milione"or"The Million" Polo had to cross the great Gobi Desert to get to China it was said to be haunted Polo traveled home in a fleet of ships that also carried a princess who was to marry a prince in Iran
