EARLY LIFE James Cook was born in 1728 in England. When he was 18, he worked for a shipping company. In 1755 James Cook become a member of the British Navy.

First voyage to the pacific In 1768 , James Cook sailed to the South Pacific Ocean with artists and scientists. James Cook reached New Zealand in 1770. No other European had been there. He sailed around New Zealand and then explored eastern Australia.

Second voyage to the pacific From 1772 to 1775,James Cook made a second voyage to the South Pacific Ocean. This time, he sailed further south than anyone before him. He saw penguins and icebergs. He sailed all the way around Antarctica. But he found no land where people might live.

The Death of captain James cook James Cook was killed during a fight with islanders in Hawaii. The fight started because of an argument over the theft of a boat ( a boat. Only a boat)
