 The Giant’s Causeway is located in Co. Antrim.  Even though I haven’t been there, I’ve heard that it is a wonderful place to visit.  And did you know that there is a story behind this place. It’s just a Legend

There was a giant named Finn McCool (an Irish name). He was 54 foot tall. He lived in Antrim peacefully with his wife Oonagh.

Until he discovered that he had an enemy in Scotland, known as Benandonner. Finn was taunted by the Benandonner from afar.

So he scooped up a lump of earth and tossed it across the sea but he missed. It landed in the middle of the Irish sea making the Isle of Man and from scooping up the earth filled up with water to become Lough Neagh.

Finn finally challenged Benandonner to a propper fight and decided to build a causeway with stepping stones across to Scotland so he wouldn’t get his feet wet. But when he saw how big Benandonner was he hurried back home with him chasing him!

That day Finn lost one of his best shoe and you can still see it in Port Noffer. When Finn got home he asked his wife, Oonagh to help him, which she did.

Clever Oonagh dressed Finn as a baby and pushed him in A huge cradle, so when Benandonner saw the size of the ‘’sleeping Baby’’, he assumed the father must be a GIGANTIC

So Benandonner fled home in terror breaking up the causeway in case he was followed.
