2 Legislative Overview The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) of 2006 calls for a single searchable website including for each Federal award:  the name of the entity receiving the award;  the amount of the award;  information on the award including transaction type, funding agency, etc;  the location of the entity receiving the award;  a unique identifier of the entity receiving the award.

3 High-Level Timeline  March 2007 – Inform agencies of new information collection and reporting requirements  July 1, 2007 – Commence a pilot program for enabling searches for subgrants and subcontracts across the federal government  January 1, 2008 – Launch a website to the public, free of charge, that provides federal award information  January 1, 2009 – Include subaward data in the website search  January 2010 – GAO report on Act implementation
