All about Sweden and Sweden’s Winter Olympics. By: Kally S.

This PowerPoint is all about Sweden It tells about: Winter Olympics Culture Flag and my sites by: Kally S.

Here in the yellow is where Sweden is located. It is by Finland and the Denmark area in Europe.

 There is 9.6 million people who live in Sweden  23% are younger than the age 20  15% were born in another country  About 100,000 are shot during early hunting season

 Sweden has 118 people that attend in the Winter Olympics.  Some of Sweden’s events include hockey and skiing.

The flag that represents Sweden is blue with a yellow “cross” down the middle. The Scandinavian cross down the middle represents Christianity. Blue and yellow have been the colors since 1275.

 Education in Sweden is mandatory for children ages 7 and the year of the child’s 16th birthday.  The school year lasts as long as late August and early June.  They get a Christmas break and the time they have between when they end school and when they begin.
