Non-Thesis Masters Program : 1 st year for NTMS Program 14 students enrolled in academic year Outcomes: – 4 accepted into our PhD program – 1 accepted by University of Texas Arlington (PhD) – 1 accepted by University of Houston (PhD) – 1 working at Bayer Healthcare – 1 resigned from program without completing – 2 will defend in next term – 6 have successfully defended to date Defense for this year consisted of a written work guided by a faculty advisor which was defended to a committee consisting of a minimum of 3 faculty members

Non-Thesis Masters Program We have 21 new NTMS students starting this fall Initiated a Scientific Writing Course this year to assist with scientific journal article interpretation and scientific writing Program Coordinator (V. Sant) will serve as advisor to all students Defense for next year will consist of a final examination (comprehensive style exam based on different scientific papers for evaluation of student knowledge)
