The Future Artificial Intelligence Virtual Reality What’s Next Home

Artificial Intelligence The field of study that explores computer involvement in tasks requiring intelligence, imagination, and intuition. Making computers do things that at the present, people do better.

AI- Problem Solving This area includes activities from playing a game to planning military strategy.

AI- Natural Languages The study of person to computer and computer to person communications through the spoken human language.

AI- Expert Systems Software that presents the computer as an expert on a topic. Analysis of data to determine a logical answer to a given question.

AI- Robotics A computer controlled device that can physically manipulate its surroundings

Field Robots Robots which do the dirty and dangerous jobs people would rather not do.

Virtual Reality A system in which a user is immersed in a computer created environment, so that the user physically interacts with the computer produced three dimensional scene University of Oregon Tour University of Oregon Tour
