Floods are :  Floods are An overflowing of a large amount of water beyond its normal confines and over what is normally dry land: "a flood barrier".

Floods are caused by:  Natural floods are the floods that are caused naturally by the overflow of the huge volume of water, from rivers, lakes, oceans, or by heavy rains or downpours, hurricanes, cyclones, or tsunamis, etc.

Floods can last :  floods normally last from one day to one whole week
