Research has shown that it takes 6-9 months to adjust to life on campus. During this period students feel increased personal independence and form the habits and relationships they will carry throughout their college careers, therefore it is imperative that students become involved on campus. How often would you like to keep in contact with your student? Any amount of times you want to talk to your student is fine. As long as you and your student agree.
