Presentation transcript:

COMPOSITING USING BLUE AND GREEN SCREENS   Background filmed or created using CGI  Film the actor  Silhouettes are made (white and black)  There should now be 4 layers of film  The Four layers are combined to make a ‘composite’  The black silhouette is placed on the background creating a ‘hole’  The image of the actor is placed into this ‘hole’

CGI HOW?  Post production  Develop a wireframe of a 3D object  Render the wireframe  Animate using keyframing  Motion capture  Actor wears markers  Computer tracks the markers 

 Rotoscoping  Animators trace over live action film frame by frame.  Used to recreate live action (mimic)   The movie was filmed digitally and then animated using interpolated rotoscope

CGI  With more and more films using special effects have directors come to rely on them?  Is CGI overused?  Do we expect this from a film nowdays?
