Chapter 18: Dynamic Data Exchange

©The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc., of 21 Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Dynamic Data Exchange is method that allows Windows programs to share data. Using DDE, you can enter a formula into an Excel spreadsheet cell that refers to a field of data in Peachtree. Whenever you use that spreadsheet in the future, the cell is updated with the current data from Peachtree.

If you do not have Exercise 6-2 data, install Bellwether’s starting data. Installing Bellwether’s starting data is shown in Appendix A, pp , Appendix A. Whenever you use DDE, you must start Peachtree first, then Excel.
