Recycling Tips Brought to you by the Green School Committee

We are a Maryland Green School! As such we need to demonstrate solid waste reduction this year. You can help by being an avid recycler and role model for our Students!

Place these items in your Yellow Bin and send to the cafeteria after breakfast : milk and juice cartons, cereal/pizza boxes cardboard Plastic - spoons, milk bottles, cereal bowls, bags (place all bags together inside another), plastic wrap, cups, plates, utensils, buckets, storage totes, flower pots, bottles, jars, jugs, tubs, trays and CD/DVD cases. Metal beverage and food containers. Glass bottles and jars. Aluminum beverage and food containers and foil. As per Ms. Galloway, custodians have been instructed NOT to empty the yellow recycling bins.

Place these items in a cardboard box and have your students take to the Abitibi Dumpster behind the school (we get money for this): Mixed paper including printer paper, magazines, and advertisements. Newspaper Mail Wrapping paper Shredded paper No Cardboard!

Questions???? Where can I get a bin? The Green School Committee is making recycling boxes for your classroom. Let Jean M-K know if you need one. Other Concerns: Contact any Green School Committee Member: Jean Melton-Koch Jennifer Smith Kathy Cochran Andrew Behringer Vicki Barstow Nancy O’Donnell Jake Shinn Jim Burns

Thank you and Happy Recycling!
