IRCC 7, report from IHO European Union network WG Mexico, 1-3 June Directive 2014/89/EU of the European Parliament and of the European Council (23 July 2014) has established a framework for maritime spatial planning. IENWG promotes exchanges between HOs, concerned as they have knowledge of the areas, may provide support (charts, MSDI), they are used to work with together to have continuity and coherence through maritime boundaries, and, for some of them, have responsibilities in MSP.
