Demo If a 1L bottle held all the water on Earth…. ☂ Ocean would be in 97% (970 mL) ☂ Freshwater would be the remaining 3% (30mL) (Freshwater aka “sweet” water – NOT salty) So we can only use the Freshwater – where is it? ☂ Most is Solid Ice (Glaciers & Icebergs): 76% (22 mL) ☂ Shallow Groundwater (Useable) : 12% (3.6 mL) ☂ Deep Groundwater: 11% (3.3 mL) ☂ Lakes and Rivers: 0.34% (0.1mL) ☂ Water Vapor: 0.03% (0.01mL) The only usable water is in Lakes and Rivers and Shallow Groundwater (<1% of original 1L amount)
