REQUIREMENTS FOR SELECTION TEST Basic knowledge of forces & reactions, stresses & strains, constraints at 3-D joints etc Space materials and their applications Launch vehicle interfaces Brief idea of loads during launch Brief idea of thermal loads in orbit Modeling and simulation skills highly appreciated!! Go through our Requirements Capture Report and our Conceptual Design Report! Also, note the changes between the two.

Problem Statement Overview of tasks Requirements for selection test

PROBLEM STATEMENT To formulate a thermal design such that every component is always maintained within its optimal operating temperature ranges OVERVIEW OF TASKS Fix critical temperature range for whole satellite and individual components Make a preliminary mathematical model and solve it analytically for average temperature distribution Simulate the satellite and all its heat transfer modes and validate results obtained Tweak parameters like putting different  values for certain areas or reducing/increasing conductivity at some junction May include cryogenic system design in many cases

Emissivity of solar cell Absorptivity of Aluminium- 0.2
