Temperature: 68 o F - 93 o F Rainfall: Up to 158 inches per year! Animals: Insects, Birds, Monkeys, Wild Cats Plants: Ferns, Canopy Trees, Vines The rain forest has the greatest diversity of life!

Temperature: 14 o F - 52 o F Rainfall: Up to 30 inches per year Animals: Hibernate and Migrate (Deer, Moose, Squirrels, Lynx) Plants: Evergreens (needle-like) Long cold winters

Temperature: 43 o F - 82 o F Rainfall: Up to 50 inches per year Animals: Birds, Rabbits, Foxes Plants: Trees that loose leaves, moss, grasses We live here! Fall colors!

Temperature: 32 o F - 86 o F Rainfall: Up to 30 inches per year Animals: Prairie dogs, mice, bison, elephants, zebras, gazelles. Plants: Grasses and seed- bearing plants Can be called the steppe, savanna, prairie or pampas depending on where you live! Very good soil!

Temperature: 45 o F o F Rainfall: Less than 10 inches per year Animals: Kangaroo rats, jack rabbits, lizards Plants: Plants with roots close to the surface of the ground. In animals and plants, water storage is the goal!

Temperature: -14 o F - 53 o F Rainfall: Less than 20 inches per year Animals: Caribou, oxen, wolves, lemming. Plants: Lichen, shrubs Has permafrost, soggy soil, lakes and ponds.
