The Two-Fold Process of Transformation Working Through Relational Issues Our desire is not just external behavioral change but lasting internal heart change effecting both the emotions and the thought process (logic). This is accomplished by leading people to an experiential connection with Christ through the application of biblical principles, prayer and the working of the Holy Spirit. Receiving forgiveness and healing through Christ is a major component to lasting transformation and affects every other earthly relationship. True and lasting life transformation is a two-fold process involving the whole person; body, mind and spirit. Secular counseling deals primarily with the conscious and/or subconscious mind with the hope of changing unhealthy patterns of behavior.

Self Controlled Self Controlled Others Controlled Others Controlled DifferentiationDifferentiation Process One -The Natural Self The first process addresses the natural self. Here is where we help people transition from being controlled by others to becoming self controlled. In psychology this process is commonly referred to as differentiation. While this is an important step in healthy development it seldom addresses the deeper issues of the heart. We must also deal with the spirit and soul. Process Two -The Spiritual Self Self Centered Self Centered Christ Centered Christ Centered Sanctification In theological terms this is referred to as sanctification, the progressive process of being changed from the inside out. Our willingness to accept the authority of scripture and our surrender to the work of the Holy Sprit promotes intimacy with Christ, producing incredible joy and peace with God, ourselves and others. The second process addresses the spiritual self. Here is where we lead others in transition from being self centered to becoming Christ centered. The Two-Fold Process of Transformation
