Habitat  They prefer very cold water (-1°C to 10°C).  They live in Atlantic waters around Greenland, Canada, and Iceland.  They have been found 2,200 meters deep in arctic waters.

Diet  They eat a lot of fish and sometimes seals.  Some strange things have been found in Greenland sharks’ stomachs, including the remains of polar bears, horses, moose, and in one case a whole reindeer.

Appearance  The Greenland shark can grow to be more than 20 feet long and they can weigh up to 2,500 lbs.  They are very slow swimmers.
