2. Introduction You are in the cold, snowy Arctic and suddenly you hear a big growling sound. It’s a giant polar bear! It starts to run towards you so you start running back.

3. Cool Cubs A polar bear’s hollow oily hair on top of their soft fur help polar bears float. A polar bear’s stomach stores more than 150 pounds of food in the winter. Polar bears are mammals. Polar bears have long necks and big feet to walk in the snow. Mother polar bears teach their cubs to swim by the cubs hanging on their rear end with their teeth.

4. Their Diet Polar bears are hunters. They often eat seals.

5. A Polar Bear’s Habitat Polar bears only live in the cold, snowy Arctic. It is near the Arctic Ocean.

6. Fun Facts Polar bears have oily hairs on top of their fur. Polar bears are four feet tall on four legs. On two legs they’re eleven feet tall. Polar bears weigh 5,000 pounds.
