DBQ Document Analysis-Doc C and D Windy Mulder Horizon Middle School September 16, 2014

Good Morning!  Please write today’s agenda in your planners  Warm Up:  What direction does the Nile River flow? Why does it flow that way?

Background Information  Nile was a busy transportation artery  Wooden boats were expensive to build  Native date palm trees used for interior planking  Most timber was imported from cypress forests of modern-day Lebanon  Typical freight on Nile barges and sailing vessals included cattle, emmer wheat, barley, corn, jars of oil, beer, wine, and blocks of stone

Documents C and D  Each member of your group must have a different colored writing tool  One person asks the question and writes down the answer from the other members of the group  The paper gets passed on and repeats the process  You may begin Document D when you are finished, or else it is homework
