Access Forms

Forms Make data entry easier More ways to view table data Can customize help on fields Can display calculated fields Are easy to create with wizards

Types of forms Columnar – each field appears on a separate line with a label to its left – vertical Tabular – best for just a few fields – horizontal Datasheet – much like the table datasheet view Hierarchical – multiple table on one form

Form Wizard Start with the wizard, then modify Create a simple form for the Contacts Input Note that the lookups are already there

Hierarchical Forms Forms and subforms Can see data from multiple tables Create a form for the Contacts and Donation tables

Navigating and Editing in Forms Search for “keyboard shortcut” CTRL-’ is the ditto key Can be real time-savers during data entry
