 When you play baseball there is offense and defense.  On offense, the batter tries to hit the ball with a bat and drive it out of the reach of the people in the field.  By hitting the ball, and in other ways, players advance around the four bases on the field.

 Then you have defense  Defense is when a player of the team in the field called the pitcher, throws a baseball toward a player of the team at bat, called the batter.  The pitchers purpose is to get the batter out.

 You have baseballs, gloves, bats and many other things.  A baseball is a small, hard round ball.

 A baseball bat is a long rounded piece of wood.  You also have three kinds of gloves, the catchers mitt, the fielders glove, and the first baseman's mitt.

 Babe Ruth is the most famous baseball player to ever live.  He hit 714 homers, and 50 in four different seasons.

 Jackie Robinson is a legend in the baseball world.  He broke the color barrier in the MLB.  Joe DiMaggio helped lead the Yankees to 9 world championships. Jackie Robinson Joe DiMaggio
